Information in our guides
Our guides and comparisons are for general information. We check prices, size limits and features against the providers' own pages at the time of writing and list our sources, but providers change their plans often and without notice. Always confirm current terms with the provider before relying on them, especially for paid plans or business use. If you find an error, please tell us and we'll correct it.
Product names, logos and trademarks mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners. Mentioning them doesn't imply endorsement or affiliation. We aren't affiliated with WeTransfer, Google, Dropbox, Apple, Microsoft or any other company we write about, and we don't receive commissions from them.
Reliability of the transfer tool
TransferFiles.net depends on WebRTC support in your browser, on third-party signaling, STUN and TURN servers, and on both users' devices and internet connections. Network policies, VPNs, firewalls, browser memory limits and devices going to sleep can all stop a transfer. We can't guarantee that a transfer will complete or how long it will take. Don't use the Service as your only copy of important files.
Security
Transfers are encrypted in transit by WebRTC's mandatory DTLS layer. No system is perfectly secure, though, and the security of a transfer also depends on your device, your browser, and who you share the link with. Anyone who has a valid link or code while the sender's page is open can try to connect, so share links only with the intended recipient.
Content transferred by users
Files go directly between users' devices. We don't see, inspect, store or moderate them, and we're not responsible for their content or legality. Users are solely responsible for what they send and receive.
Advertising and external links
This site shows ads from Google AdSense and links to external websites. We don't control advertisers or third-party sites and aren't responsible for their content or offers.
