About TransferFiles.net
We built the file transfer tool we always wished existed. We got tired of being forced to pay $15 a month just to send a large video to a client. WeTransfer caps free transfers at 2 GB. Google Drive fills up. Dropbox requires the receiver to sign up.
So we built TransferFiles.net, a tool that uses your browser's own peer-to-peer technology to send files directly from your device to anyone's. No upload. No storage. No middleman. No cost.
Our principles
Privacy by architecture. Files cannot pass through our servers. Even if we wanted to see them, we could not. Privacy is not a policy statement here. It is a technical reality.
Free, always. We will never add a paywall, a size limit, or a freemium tier. We cover our running costs through ads shown on the page. Sending files is something everyone should be able to do for free.
No dark patterns. No fake countdown timers. No upgrade popups. No email capture. We respect your time and your intelligence.
Open standards. We use WebRTC, an open IETF-standardized protocol built into every modern browser. We just made it easy to use.
How it stays free
TransferFiles.net is ad-supported, which is what keeps it free for everyone. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your files with advertisers.
